Recount text adalah jenis teks yang melaporkan peristiwa, kejadian, atau kegiatan seseorang atau pengalaman seseorang di masa lampau. Bisa juga berupa biografi atau otobiografi dari kehidupan seseorang. Tujuannya untuk menghibur pembaca. Jenis tenses yang digunakan dalam recount text adalah Simple Past Tense. recount text ini berisi urutan-urutan kejadian dari suatu kejadian yang terjadi dalam kehidupan si penulis.
