Assalamualaikum Wr.Wb

The Honorable the Juries and participants of English Speech Contest and all audience. Before I begin to give a speech I would like to introduce My self, My Name is Vivi Sabela. I’m from Vocational High School 4 Bondowoso.

First of all I would like to invite you to thank to Allah the Almighty ,who has given us Mercy and Blessing, so we can meet together in this nice place and let’s deliver sholawat and salam to our prophet Muhammad SAW who has brought us from the darkness to the brightness, so we are always in the right path.

Ladies and gentleman,

Drug? What is that? I am sure you all already know what drug is and what the advantages and disadvantages are. Drugs actually are medicine for anesthetize patients in surgery. But the perception was misapplied by some people. Drugs have been misapplied by some people for a long time. Some people who use drugs beyond the medical treatment consider that drugs can make them feel better when they are facing some problems, make them feel easy to find new briliants ideas or just for seeking temporal pleasure.

Ladies and gentleman,

From Kompas.com we know that it was found 19.000 tablets of pcc on September 12th, 2017 in Purwokerto any 30 people infected of pcc but after research in location the victim become 50 person until 1 person was die.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Drugs are not only used by adults, but its abuse has been committed by teenagers. In Indonesia, we often see a lot of kids who use drugs and they even have been addicted. Of course, the use of those addictive substances causes wide bad impacts for them. They will experience a change in behavior, lowering the quality of work, potentially causing crime, and may lead to overdoses, HIV/AIDS and even brain or mental damage.

So what must we do ? what must we do ladies and gentleman ???

Dear Ladies and gentlemen,

But it is so pathetic, if we hear many of our young generations fall into drug abuse, such as Heroin, Cocain, Koplo, Dextron, Extacy, or Marijuana. They marely consume drugs to get drunk ,enjoyment and temporal statisfaction without consider the risks.

We as teachers and parents, sisters and brothers, should prevent this abuse. Parents and teachers are the fist circle in the teenagers life that can prevent drugs abuse. We can make a variety of programs and activities such as playing music, exercising, making learning clubs, and other social activities. In essence, we make a variety of activities aimed at diverting the attention of the students, so they are not tempted by drugs anymore.

I really hope young generation not fall in drugs abuse because ALLAH SWT said in the holy Quran : Oh ye the believers actually alcoholic drink,gambling,and draw destiny is despicable form te evil’s action so avoid them,may be you will the pleasure people [almaidah verse :90]

I suggest all the students not to consume the drugs because they can destroy the health and future. Your lives are still long. Reach your bright future.

I conclude that the drugs abuse among the students is very harmful. I hope that all the students not to try to consume drug, stay away from it. Remember that you are still young. Our country depends the young generations.
